General Ledger – Accounting Manager

  • Position title: GL Accounting Manager
  • Job location: Philippines

This role demands advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders (employees and management) and partners in a manner that breaks down complex challenges into actionable steps that drive results. This individual leads as a team player who can build trust and establish strong working relationships.

A Successful Candidate Will Have

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in accounting or equivalent work experience (5+ years progressive responsibility) and 3years, full cycle, General Ledger accounting experience OR bachelor’s degree in accounting and 2-year full cycle general ledger accounting experience
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Association of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) guidelines
  • Ability to perform month end close and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel, QuickBooks, database, and finance modeling skills

Accounting Close:

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Month-end/Year-End closing and financial statement preparation for multiple entities with varying attributes.
  • Develop and enter accruals, amortization, adjustments, and reclassifications.
  • Experienced in bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain records and accounting schedules of leases, Loans, assets, and depreciation.
  • Assist in payroll-related functions, including payroll entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Special projects include cash reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and implementing new processes.
  • Help enforcement of proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

Financial Audits & Regulatory Requirements:

  • Support coordination and completion of annual financial audits.
  • Support state and local reporting requirements about accounting.
  • Support VP Finance to foster Banking relationships and raising of funds.
  • Business Tax Reporting
